Bureaucrat removed for opposing minister
New Delhi, Feb 12: A top bureaucrat in Ghulam Nabi Azad's Union Health Ministry was removed by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Though reasons for the removal are nor clear, it is alleged that the bureaucrat Keshav Desiraju had issues with the Cabinet Secretariat on Wednesday. Desiraju has now been sent to the Consumer Affairs Ministry.

Reports suggest that Desiraju had some disagreements with Azad. Azad apparently wanted his own people in he Medical Council of India. This action now raises some questions.

Was Desiraju shown the door without a proper enquiry or was he asked to leave over his alleged differences?

Desiraju was appointed as Health Secretary in February 2013.
