BSF trooper nabbed on molestation charge
Shillong, May 5: A Border Security Force (BSF) trooper was arrested for allegedly molesting a 11-year-old girl here in Meghalaya, police said on Thursday.
"We received a complaint that a minor girl was molested at her residence in Nongrimmaw, allegedly by BSF constable Dulal Konwar" on Wednesday night, Mariahom Kharkrang, the district police chief of East Khasi Hills, told IANS.
He said the girl managed to escape after raising an alarm. Konwar was arrested and produced in a court, Kharkrang said.
