Azam Khan's remarks support terrorism, says Sakshi Maharaj

New Delhi, Nov 17: A day after Samajwadi Patry leader Azam Khan justified the Paris terror attacks, BJP Sakshi Maharaj lashed out at Khan and said that 'he (Khan) supports terrorists.'

The BJP leader said: "Be it issue of Tipu Sultan or Paris Attacks, Azam Khan makes statements which give impression that he is supporting terrorists."

Khan on Monday, Nov 16 had condemned the Paris attacks but at the same time triggered a controversy and said: "Global superpowers must realize that the terror attack was a reaction to their action in Syria and Iraq", while adding that "European cities cannot be lit up with the ill-gotten wealth from the oil reserves of Middle East".

Khan further said that the global crisis is economic interests of US and its allies in West Asia.

Meanwhile, the JD(U) had reacted to Maharaj's statement and said that the party would raise the issue in Parliament.
