Arvind Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas spend big bucks during LS polls

According to a report in The Indian Express (read here) AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Kumar Vishwas spent more than one crore collectively during the elections. Kejriwal spent Rs 50.10 lakh in Varanasi while Vishwas spent Rs 58.16 lakh in Amethi.
This was against heavyweight contenders like Narendra Modi who spent Rs 37.62 lakh in Varanasi and Rahul Gandhi who spent Rs 38.12 lakh in Amethi.
Other leader like Smriti Irani who had contested against Vishwas and Rahul spent Rs 35.32 lakh in Amethi. Kumar Vishwas had managed to caused major upset to Congress in Amethi as he openly challenged Rahul saying that he would defeat him with a huge margin.
However Rahul managed to hold onto his turf as he emerged victorious in Amethi.
