AAP to launch its 'Jhaadu Chalao Yatra' in Amethi

New Delhi, Dec 26: After sweeping the Delhi assembly elections the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is slowly and steadily spreading its wings, and next on its list is going to be the Congress Party's turf, Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

AAP is planning to hold a 'Jhadu Chalao Yatra' in Amethi starting Friday, Dec 27. Amethi, that has always been Congress' turf will see AAP's Kumar Vishwas spinning his magic.

Vishwas has been touted as a possible challenger to AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi from Amethi. Vishwas, who seemed to be very confident of defeating Rahul Gandhi said that a Jhaado Chalao Yatra will be held on Friday. He is expected to join the Yatra.

The yatra would be along the lines of Kejriwal's 'Jhadu Chalao Yatra' in Delhi, where Kejriwal went from door to door speaking to people, seeking votes for the party.

Earlier there were reports that Vishwas would be pitted against Rahul Gandhi for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
