AAP Shares Second Candidate List For Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Key Updates
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released the second list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, with significant changes as expected. The party has indicated that many sitting MLAs may not get their tickets renewed, reflecting its ongoing efforts to revamp its candidate pool.
Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is set to contest the upcoming Assembly elections from Jangpura, while AAP has named civil services teacher Avadh Ojha as its candidate for Patparganj, the seat currently held by Sisodia.

In a high-stakes move, AAP had already made headlines with its first list, in which the party decided to cut the tickets of several incumbents. This step aims to introduce fresh faces and ensure electoral success by focusing on candidates with stronger local support and better chances of winning.
The second list, which has been finalised after the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting, will turn out to be crucial for shaping the party's strategy as it heads into the elections. Key AAP leaders, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, Sanjay Singh, and Yogesh Pathak, are currently in discussions to finalize the list. The decision is poised to spark intense interest, as party members and supporters await confirmation of the new candidates.
While the first list already showcased a range of promising candidates, the second list is likely to further reshape AAP's electoral strategy, particularly in constituencies where there has been dissatisfaction with the sitting MLAs. With the PAC meeting underway, all eyes are on the announcement, which could signal the party's plans for securing a decisive victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.
As the release of the second list draws near, speculation grows over which MLAs will face the axe, with many hoping for a fair and transparent selection process that prioritizes Delhi's future over individual loyalty.
