AAP seeks donations for re-polls, general elections in 2014

BJP, AAP wants fresh polling in Delhi
New Delhi, Dec 12: As Delhi continues to stare at fresh elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided to prepare itself for the re-polls, which is most likely to take place since no party in Delhi is willing to support each other to form a government.

On Wednesday, the AAP held a victory rally at Jantar Mantar, where AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal urged people to donate once again to the party so that it can contest the fresh elections and also the Lok Sabha elections in 2014.

Kejriwal: We have to prepare for fresh Delhi assembly election

"When we got the required funds from people ahead of the Assembly elections, we had asked people not to donate further. Now we have to prepare for fresh Delhi assembly election as well as the General Election in 2014," he said.

He also said that the donors must donate liberally like they had done earlier.

Speaking on the current deadlock that Delhi is facing he said that since AAP had not formed a majority in Delhi, it will steer clear of any any alliance. Even the BJP refused to join hands with the AAP and said that it was ready for fresh polls.
