AAP Importing Voters from Punjab? BJP’s Parvesh Verma Levels Serious Allegations

BJP's New Delhi assembly candidate, Parvesh Verma, has accused AAP of "threatening" voters and bringing outsiders from Punjab ahead of the February 5 elections.

Verma also alleged that a vehicle seized outside Punjab Bhawan contained liquor, cash, and AAP campaign material, raising security concerns. He claimed that "thousands" of AAP workers from Punjab have entered Delhi's localities without engaging in election campaigning.

"I fear Delhi's security is at risk in the next 4-5 days. Vehicles from Punjab, some labeled 'Government of Punjab,' are roaming around," Verma said at a press conference, urging Delhi Police and the Election Commission to investigate.

He further accused AAP and Arvind Kejriwal of being "rattled" and resorting to lies as they face electoral defeat.

The controversy escalated after police found a suspicious Punjab-registered vehicle near Punjab Bhawan containing AAP pamphlets, liquor bottles, and cash. However, the Punjab government later clarified that the number plate was "forged and fake," denying any official connection to the vehicle.

Verma is contesting against AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and Congress' Sandeep Dikshit in the New Delhi constituency, where AAP has dominated the last two elections. The upcoming polls will see a fierce three-way battle between AAP, BJP, and Congress.
