AAP effect: Three cops suspended for brutally beating a man

New Delhi, Jan 24: The Aam Aadmi Party (

) on Friday leaked a shocking

on YouTube where three Delhi police officials can be seen brutally beating a young man with sticks until he bribes them.

Acting swiftly on the cops brutal and inhuman behaviour, the Delhi Police has suspended them pending enquiry just hours after the video was released.

The three constables have been identified as Jitendra, Arvid and Saurabh.

AAP claims that the video was shot by a vigilante near the Red Fort on January 12.

"Just after the video was uploaded, the police came into action and three cops were suspended," Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.

"Appropriate action will be taken if needed. The case will be investigated," said Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi.

The three constables have been identified as Jitendra, Arvid and Saurabh.

If the video is authentic, then it shows two ugly faces of Delhi Police- its inhuman behaviour towards the citizens and extortion of money.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal- led AAP government is already at loggerheads with Delhi Police following the midnight raid conducted by the law minister Somnath Bharti.
