AAP challenges Najeeb Jung's decision, files petition in SC

New Delhi, Feb 20: The AAP on Thursday challenged the Lt Governor Najeeb Jung's decision on keeping Delhi Assembly in suspended animation.

The AAP on Thursday filed a petition to the Supreme Court.

Lt Governor Najeeb Jung had recommended President's rule in the capital following Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's resignation and then announced that the Delhi Assembly will be in suspended animation.

The AAP had demanded that fresh polls be conducted after Kejriwal had resigned.

Meanwhile Jung said that all government schemes by AAP will continue including the anti-corruption helpline that was set up by the AAP, subsidised electricity bills and free water to residents.
