1962 Indo-China war report published by Australian journo

1962 Indo-China war report leaked
New Delhi, Mar 18: Details of a classified report on the Indo-China war in 1962 were made public on Tuesday by a veteran Australian journalist that has raised many eyebrows.

The Henderson Brooks- Bhagat report analyses the cause of the Indian military's defeat during the war and how prepared the nation was to go on war with China.

The journalist, Neville Maxwell wrote on his website saying that he always had the access to the report and that he was waiting only for the report to be declassified. Maxwell also states that the report holds India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru personally responsible for the country's defeat.

While the report till date is termed as 'classified information' by the Defence authorities, the revelations of the report has surprised many.

Immediately after its relase on the internet, the report was blocked. Considering that the Lok Sabha elections are just round the corner, will the declassification of this report hit the Congress hard? How will it impact the Congress party in the elections is something that we need to wait and watch.
