Mysore's Dasara Exhibition 2025 Extended To January 7 With Free Entry
After running for a remarkable hundred days, the Dasara Exhibition in Mysore wrapped up on Sunday night, drawing in a vast crowd of visitors. The exhibition, a significant event eagerly awaited by locals and tourists alike, showcased a variety of attractions, including commercial and government shops. In a generous move to accommodate the public's interest, the authorities extended the exhibition for an additional two days, January 6th and 7th, 2025, allowing free admission to all visitors. This extension provided a last chance for the masses to explore the myriad of offerings at the exhibition.
The exhibition made a significant impact this year by employing 3D technology, allowing visitors not only to purchase products but also to observe their manufacturing processes. This innovative approach added a unique educational component to the shopping experience. Additionally, the setup included interactive and virtual parks, utilizing the same technology to entertain children, enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere of the event. The inclusion of airport-style water purifying plants across 10 to 15 locations within the exhibition grounds ensured a steady supply of free drinking water, emphasizing the organizers' commitment to visitor comfort.

Attractive Features and Facilities
One of the highlights of this year's exhibition was the extensive use of decorative illuminations, timed perfectly with the Diwali festival, to draw in more visitors, including local, out-of-state, and international tourists. The entrance and main thoroughfares of the exhibition were adorned with special electric lamp illuminations, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere. To further enhance the visitor experience, the exhibition provided three electronic eco-vehicles at discounted rates, facilitating easy movement across the expansive 80-acre venue.
Adding to the visual appeal, the exhibition featured a selfie point adorned with rose flowers and flower arrangements in various shapes across the parks, providing a special experience to visitors and children. The blend of technology, culture, and nature offered something for everyone, making the event a memorable one for the diverse crowd it attracted.
Stalls and Exhibits
This year's Dasara exhibition showcased a total of 183 stalls, including 30 from various government departments and 153 private stalls, drawing significant attention from the visitors. The stalls, set up by district panchayats, government departments, and corporation boards, were not only informative but also creatively designed to capture the interest of those passing by. This strategic presentation of stalls, both inside and out, was specifically aimed at engaging visitors, providing them with both information and entertainment.
Ayub Khan, the chairman of the authority, stated, "Only the entry is free," highlighting the accessibility of the event to a wider audience. This move to extend the exhibition and offer free entry was a thoughtful gesture to ensure that more people could enjoy the event, especially those who could not visit during the regular days. The exhibition, which is an annual affair lasting nearly a hundred days, has once again successfully attracted lakhs of tourists, thanks to its wide array of programs and stalls.
As the Dasara exhibition concluded on Sunday, January 5, it marked the end of a significant cultural and commercial event in Mysore. The success of this year's exhibition, bolstered by technological advancements and thoughtful arrangements, sets a high standard for future events. The extended days and free entry were a fitting end to an event that celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the region while embracing modern technology and amenities.
