Yogi Adityanath Reiterates 'Batenge To Katenge' Remark In Maharashtra, Ally Ajit Pawar Objects
The campaign for the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly Elections is in full swing, with BJP's prominent campaigner and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressing rallies across the state.
During his speeches, CM Yogi introduced the slogan 'Batenge toh Katenge', urging voters to unite in support of the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance.

However, BJP ally and NCP leader Ajit Pawar has distanced himself from the slogan at an election rally in Washim.
Ajit Pawar's Response
When questioned about CM Yogi's slogan 'Batenge toh Katenge', Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar commented, "Maharashtra belongs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, and Mahatma Phule. You cannot compare Maharashtra with other states; the people of Maharashtra do not like it."
Pawar added that Shivaji Maharaj taught to bring all sections of society together.
Ajit plays 'outsider' card
Ajit Pawar also remarked that when politicians from other states come to Maharashtra, they often make such statements, but the people of Maharashtra have never embraced them.
"This has been the history of all the elections here," he observed, noting that the public in Maharashtra does not appreciate such comments.
Maharashtra will hold voting for all 288 assembly seats in a single phase on November 20, with the results to be declared on November 23.
