Who Is Amruta Fadnavis?

She was born on April 9, 1979, in Nagpur in a family of accomplished professionals. Both his father and mother are doctors. While her father Sharad Ranade is an ophthalmologist, her mother, Charulata Ranade is a gynecologist.

She completed her schooling at St. Joseph Convent in Nagpur, followed by a degree in commerce from G.S. College of Commerce and Economics. She later earned an MBA in finance from Pune's Symbiosis Law School.

A Multifaceted Career

Amruta began her career in 2003 as an executive cashier at Axis Bank and steadily rose through the ranks to become Vice President of the bank's Transaction Banking Department.

Alongside her professional achievements, Amruta has also pursued her passion for music. She debuted as a playback singer in Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal and collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan on the T-Series music video Phir Se. Not many are aware of the fact that she is a former state-level tennis player and Amruta was named Chief Patron of the L&T Mumbai Open Tennis Tournament in 2018, a report in The Times of India notes.

Amruta met Devendra Fadnavis in 2005 through a common friend, News18 reported. Although their marriage was arranged, the connection was instant. In an interview, Amruta revealed her initial apprehension about meeting a politician, a stereotype quickly dispelled when she met Fadnavis. "He was honest and down-to-earth," she said.

Despite their strong bond, Amruta candidly shared that romance is not a defining aspect of their relationship. "Devendra is not romantic at all, either before or after marriage," she remarked in an interview with Sonali Bendre. Describing him as practical and deeply immersed in politics, she admitted that finding time for fun was a challenge.

As per her husband's election affidavit, Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has disclosed a net worth of approximately Rs 7.9 crore. This comprises Rs 6.9 crore in movable assets and Rs 95 lakh in immovable assets.

Combined with her husband's assets, the Fadnavis couple has a total declared net worth of about Rs 13 crore. In the financial year 2023-24, Amruta reported an annual income of Rs 79,30,402. Her income for 2022-23 stood at Rs 92,48,095, while in 2020-21, she earned Rs 1,84,38,355.

According to her affidavit, she holds Rs 10,000 in cash and investments worth Rs 5.6 crore in shares and mutual funds. Additionally, she possesses gold ornaments valued at Rs 65 lakh. Interestingly, Amruta does not own a car.
