Thane police press MCOCA in jewellery heist case

On July 2, the accused looted Swaraj Jewellers at Wada at gun point, decamping with booty worth Rs 10 lakh. Police arrested Prakash Kadav (32), Jelu Vasunia (32), Dinesh Sakania Charel (35), Ramesh Bijariya Parmar (25).
The Jhabua gang was suspected to be involved in dacoities.
Others are yet to be arrested. Barring Kadav, others are from tribal Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ganeshpuri, Srinivas Ghatge told PTI that the conspiracy was hatched in Adharwadi Jail of Kalyan.
The Jhabua gang was suspected to be involved in dacoities in Shirur, Dhule, Bahur (Jalgaon), Randhwa (MP) and also in Gujarat.
