Tarun Tejpal & Sexual Assault controversy: Tehelka shuts Mumbai office

The woman journalist, who hurled the serious allegations against Tarun Tejpal, was working in the same office. The journalist recently has resigned from the organisation.
The complainant, who was allegedly assaulted by Tejpal during Thinkfest event in Goa, submitted her resignation on Monday, Nov 25 alleging "tactics of intimidation, character assassination and slander". She alleged that Tehelka had failed her.

One more journalist has resigned from Tehelka, in protest over the way the organisation has been handling the sexual assault case filed by a woman journalist against its former editor-in-chief Tejpal.
Tehelka's senior editor Rana Ayyub resigned from her post on Tuesday. Last week, Shougat Dasgupta, Ayesha Siddiqa, Jay Mazoomdaar and Revati Laul had resigned from the organisation.
Rana Ayyub was one of the journalists who had expressed on twitter her solidarity towards the organisational values of Tehelka, while maintaining support for the victim. "Institution and its iconic investigative work above individuals", she tweeted on November 23.
