Shiv Sena MLA Anil Babar Passes Away
Senior Shiv Sena leader Anil Babar passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in Sangli district of Maharashtra. He was 74
Babar, part of Eknath Shinde faction, was not keeping well for the last few days.

Maharashtra Chief Minister has cancelled the state cabinet meeting following the demise and is leaving for Sangli to meet Babar's family.
Anil Babar was a four-time MLA from Khanapur. After winning the Sangli Zilla Parishad elections for the first time in 1972, he won his first MLA elections in 1990 from Sharad Pawar's NCP. He was elected to the legislative assembly in 1999 from the same party.
In 2014 and 2019, Babar was elected from the undivided Shiv Sena.
