Shiv Sena appoints Uddhav Thackeray as the CM nominee

, June 2: A day after the MNS announced that Raj Thackeray will be contesting the Assembly elections and that he would be the party's CM nominee, the Shiv Sena too announced that Uddhav Thackeray would be the CM nominee.

"Uddhavji will be the CM," Sanjay Raut told reporters without making any further comments. He however did say that the party was in no hurry to prove its credentials, making an indirect attack at the MNS.

Reports however suggest that Uddhav being nominated as the CM candidate may raise problems with the BJP as the party is also eyeing the same post in the assembly elections.

BJP, on the other hand, has still not finalised its CM candidate in the state.

Raj Thackeray, on Saturday announced that he would offer to be the party's CM candidate and would contest the assembly elections, which will take place in October.
