Sanjay Raut Slams Modi's 'Ek Hai To Safe Hai' Slogan, Claims PM's Visits Instigate Unrest In Maharashtra

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Ek hai toh safe hai" (We are safe if we are united) slogan on Saturday, claiming that Maharashtra is already a safe state.

Raut accused the Prime Minister of destabilising the state whenever he visits, alleging that PM Modi's visits are aimed at causing divisions and stirring unrest.

"I don't understand why PM Modi is using such language. After his earlier slogan 'Batenge toh katenge' failed, he has now introduced this new one. People are already safe in Maharashtra, but whenever Modi visits, the state becomes unsafe as he incites divisions and provokes unrest. To ensure true safety, we need to remove the BJP," Raut said.

On Friday, PM Modi had accused the Congress and its allies of sowing division between castes and urged people to remain united, saying "Ek hai, toh safe hai" (We are safe if we are united).

"The only agenda of the Congress party is to make one caste fight against another. They do not want SCs, STs, and OBCs to progress and get their due recognition. Remember, 'Ek hai toh safe hai'," Modi stated at his first election rally in Maharashtra for the November 20 assembly elections, held in Dhule.

PM Modi also claimed that the INDIA alliance was displaying blank books as the Constitution to provoke Dalits and Adivasis, and accused Congress and its allies of promoting a "Pakistan agenda" and separatist rhetoric. He asserted that their agenda would not succeed as long as he had the support of the people.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi responded to Modi's "Ek hai toh safe hai" comment by asking, "Does this mean we haven't been safe for the past 10 years?"

Modi also remarked that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), consisting of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and NCP (SP), is like a vehicle with neither wheels nor brakes, with internal squabbles over who should take the driver's seat.

The Prime Minister is set to hold eight more rallies across the state this week.

Maharashtra will vote in a single phase on November 20, with vote counting scheduled for three days later.
