Salman Khan Receives Death Threat Again, Rs 2 Crore Demanded This Time

Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a fresh death threat on Tuesday, News18 reported on Wednesday.

The caller has demanded Rs 2 crore from the actor. The report said the message was received by the Mumbai Police's Traffic Control Room. A case has been registered at the Worli Police Station against an unknown person under sections 354(2) and 308(4).

Earlier, the Mumbai Police arrested a 20-year-old man, Mohammed Tayyab, for allegedly making a threatening missed call to Salman Khan and Zeeshan Siddique, an MLA and son of NCP (Ajit Pawar) leader Baba Siddique.

Tayyab was detained in Uttar Pradesh, and is currently being questioned by the Nirmal Nagar Police. According to police sources reported by NDTV, Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra received threatening messages on Friday evening, demanding a ransom and warning of deadly consequences if the amount was not paid. A staff member from Siddique's office filed a complaint, and an FIR was subsequently registered.

The police investigation identified Tayyab as the individual responsible for the threats, leading to his arrest.

In a related case, Mumbai Police previously detained Shaikh Hussain Shaikh Mausin, a 24-year-old vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur, for sending a similar threat to the Mumbai traffic police's WhatsApp helpline, also demanding Rs 5 crore.

Salman Khan has been the target of threats before, particularly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which reportedly fired shots outside the actor's Bandra home in April. Since then, security around Khan has been intensified. Earlier, the Navi Mumbai Police uncovered a Bishnoi gang plot to target the actor.
