Mumbai, Jan 13: Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Sunday showered praise on Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, saying the BJP was voted to power for the third consecutive term in the state recently only because of his good work.

Speaking to reporters, Khan said he is with every person who is doing good work in the country and the list includes the Madhya Pradesh chief minister.

Khan, who currently found himself in controversy for participating in a cultural extravaganza in Saifai in Uttar Pradesh, was in Indore for promoting his new film Jai Ho.

Salman Khan said he is with those are doing good work, including Shivraj Chouhan

Asked about the Saifai controversy which erupted after the UP government organised the event at a time when riot victims were suffering in relief camps in Muzaffarnagar in the state, Khan said he had already answered the question. He said he had gone to UP to promote the film just as he was in Indore.

On Saturday, Khan took a dig at the media, saying he and his Bollywood colleagues who participated in the cultural programme were being projected wrongly in the media. He said there was no reason to call them "insensitive" as they had performed at the event in lieu of money, like any other professional performer.
