Saif Ali Khan's Insurance Claim Approved For Rs 25 Lakh After Attack, Full Settlement Pending
Actor Saif Ali Khan, who is receiving treatment at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being attacked by an intruder at his residence, has filed a health insurance claim for Rs 35.95 lakh, of which Rs 25 lakh has been approved.
Niva Bupa has confirmed that the remaining amount will be settled once the final bills are submitted after the actor's treatment is complete, reported India Today.

A document detailing Saif's health insurance claim surfaced on social media, outlining the treatment costs and his expected discharge date. The document noted that the actor was being treated in a suite at Lilavati Hospital, with an expected discharge date of January 21, 2025.
However, India Today report reveals that that Saif may be discharged as early as January 20, provided his vital signs remain normal. In the meantime, Saif's family has requested that the medical team refrain from sharing further updates regarding the incident amid ongoing public scrutiny.
Niva Bupa released a statement saying, "The recent unfortunate incident involving actor Saif Ali Khan is deeply concerning. We wish him a speedy and safe recovery. A cashless pre-authorisation request was sent to us upon his hospitalisation, and we have approved an initial amount to begin the treatment. Once we receive the final bills after the complete treatment, it will be settled according to the policy terms and conditions."
The 'Omkara' actor sustained six stab wounds, including one to his spine, while attempting to defend himself against a burglar in his Bandra home on Thursday morning. Saif was taken to Lilavati Hospital, approximately 2 km from his apartment, in an auto by his seven-year-old son Taimur and a domestic helper.
Surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair a leaking spinal fluid. Doctors have stated that the actor is now out of danger.
Meanwhile, police have intensified their search for the assailant, who has remained at large three days after the incident, which has shocked the film industry.
