PM Modi Losing Memory Like Joe Biden: Rahul Gandhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday took potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi claiming that he has started losing memory like outgoing US President Joe Biden.

For unversed, Biden has been hitting the headlines for verbal gaffes and missteps.

"My sister told me that she had heard Modi Ji's speech. And in that speech, whatever we say, Modi Ji is saying the same thing these days. I don't know. Maybe he has lost his memory. The former President of America used to forget and he had to be reminded from behind. The President of Ukraine came and the President of America said that Russian President Putin had come. He had lost his memory. Similarly, our Prime Minister is losing his memory," India Today quoted Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi as saying at a rally in Maharashtra.

Gandhi stated that the PM has been claiming that the Congress is attacking the Constitution while the BJP is doing so. "For the past one year, I have been saying that the BJP has been attacking the Constitution in my speeches. But, PM Modi is saying that Congress is attacking the Constitution. He came to know that people were getting angry, and he is now saying that I am attacking the Constitution," he added.

"I also told him in Lok Sabha that Congress and the INDIA bloc will abolish the 50 per cent reservation cap. I told him that you have lost your memory, but still he is saying that Rahul Gandhi is against reservation," Gandhi added.

He also batted for the nationwide caste census and urged the BJP government to conduct the exercise. "I told Modi Ji to do a caste census. The country should know how many Dalits, Adivasis and OBCs are there. In the next meeting, he will say I am against the caste census," he added.

The single-phase voting for Maharashtra elections will be held on November 20.
