Newly wed woman found dead with throat slit in Mumbai residence

Mumbai, Dec 14: A 24-year-old newly wed woman was found dead with her throat slit at her residence in Goregaon area on Saturday afternoon. The deceased, identified as Rubina Mansoori, got married to Ashfaq a couple of months ago and had been living with him and his brother in a flat on Ram Mandir Road.

Police sources said Ashfaq, who runs a business of spare parts, discovered his wife lying in a pool of blood when he returned home for lunch on Saturday afternoon. He found the door of their flat closed from outside. Rubina's throat was slit with a sharp object.

Police began investigation and registered a case of murder against the unknown murderer. The husband was being questioned and the police suspect that the killer could be an insider. Robbery was ruled out as a reason behind the murder for everything was in order inside.
