MyBMC App: Mumbaikars' New Tool to Address Stray Animal Concerns
Mumbaikars troubled by stray animals such as dogs can now easily lodge complaints using the MyBMC mobile application provided by the Municipal Corporation of Mumbai.
With a rising number of complaints about the nuisance caused by stray dogs, the app offers a convenient platform to register grievances, request vaccinations, and seek sterilization services for stray or domesticated animals. Users can also access information about various governmental departments and organizations dedicated to animal welfare through the app, which is accessible both on mobile devices and the official BMC website.

Additionally, the application facilitates online registration for the cremation of deceased small pets weighing less than 50 kilograms at crematoriums in Malad.
Dr. Kalimpasha Pathan, General Manager of the Veterinary Health Department, highlighted the app's comprehensive features, stating, "Citizens can utilize the MyBMC mobile application to file complaints or seek assistance regarding vaccination, sterilization, or related concerns for stray or domestic animals. Information on municipal schemes, facilities, and relevant government entities is readily available."

Here's How The Process Works
1. Registration and Selection: Users begin by registering their details on the Municipal Corporation app, choosing between a complaint or a service request.
2. Unique Identification: Upon registration, a unique reference number is generated for each complaint or request, which is sent directly to the citizen's mobile device.
3. Tracking Progress: Using this reference number, citizens can monitor the status and progress of their complaints or requests periodically.
The MyBMC mobile application aims to streamline the process of addressing issues related to stray animals, ensuring prompt action and improved communication between residents and municipal authorities.
