Mumbai's Two Schools Receive Bomb Threat; Probe Underway

Tension escalated in Mumbai on Monday after bomb threats were emailed to two well-known schools, prompting swift police intervention. Kanakia International School in Deonar and Ryan International School in Samta Nagar were the targets of these alarming messages. The emails not only threatened the schools but also warned of potential explosions across various parts of Mumbai.

Following the alert, police teams from Deonar and Samta Nagar immediately reached the respective campuses, conducted thorough searches, and intensified security protocols. However, as of now, no suspicious objects have been found during the investigation.

Police Response and Investigation

An FIR has been lodged against an unknown individual under relevant sections, and the cyber cell has been roped in to trace the origin of the emails. This fresh threat comes just days after a similar threat was received by the US Consulate in Mumbai's BKC area.

Earlier in the day, a private school in Jaipur underwent a thorough search after receiving a bomb threat, officials said. The threat was emailed to The Palace School, prompting the management to immediately notify local police. The Palace School was founded by Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, a member of the erstwhile Jaipur royal family. Bomb disposal and dog squads quickly arrived at the school premises to conduct a detailed inspection.

Similar Threats Across Regions

This incident follows another recent scare when a bomb threat email targeted The Palace School in Jaipur. Founded by Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, this institution faced a comprehensive search operation by local authorities. Bomb disposal units and dog squads were promptly deployed to ensure safety.

The recent threats have heightened concerns among residents and authorities alike. Security measures have been reinforced across educational institutions to prevent any untoward incidents. Authorities are working diligently to trace those responsible for these threats and ensure public safety.
