Mumbai Water Supply News Today: Boil Before You Drink; Check Areas Affected
The municipal administration has advised citizens in certain parts of the city to use water carefully and boil it before drinking, as some areas may receive contaminated water. This situation has come up due to both planned repair work on water pipelines and damage caused during road works, according to a Lokmat report.
Today, the civic body is carrying out major repair work at Bandra Cabin, Bandra East, in the H West Zone. A 600-inch Tulsi water pipe is being removed and replaced with a Veen water pipe. Because of this, water supply will be interrupted in the Bandra-Kurla Complex area, which comes under the H East Zone, between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

The administration has informed that after the pipeline work is completed, water supply in the H East Zone is expected to improve.
In other parts of the city, especially in the western suburbs, many residents have complained about dirty or muddy water. People living in Gorai and Kulvem, in the Borivali (West) area, have reported receiving contaminated water. Locals believe that this is due to damage to underground water channels caused by ongoing road construction.
The problem has also affected areas such as Manori, Kulvem, and Gorai, which fall under the P North and R Central wards.
To stay safe, the municipal administration has requested citizens to:
1. Stock up on water in advance.
2. Use water carefully during the supply interruption.
3. Boil and filter water before drinking it for the next 4 to 5 days.
The authorities are working to fix the issues quickly and have asked for the public's cooperation in the meantime.
