Mumbai Viral Video: Ola Cab Driver Caught Watching Omelette Recipes And Big Boss While Driving

A video showing an Ola cab driver watching omelette-making videos and Big Boss reels while driving on a busy Mumbai road has gone viral on social media, sparking concerns about road safety.

The clip, shared by a passenger, shows the driver distracted by his phone, with the videos playing next to the steering wheel while he continues driving.

Rohan Khule, who recorded the video from the backseat, shared it on X, formerly known as Twitter with the caption: "Dear Ola, Your driver is learning how to cook an omelette while driving at the cost of risking our lives. Your scooters are already on fire, hope you take corrective measures before this one also turns up in flames and soon turn into ashes."

The video clearly shows the driver swiping through the videos, first watching an omelette-making tutorial and then clips from the TV show Big Boss, all while navigating the busy streets of Mumbai.

Khule not only criticised the driver's reckless behaviour but also pointed out the rising number of complaints about Ola scooters catching fire. This has led to growing concerns among customers regarding the safety of the brand's vehicles.

The Mumbai Police have acknowledged the video and responded to Khule's post, requesting further details to locate the driver. "Please share the exact location so we can inform @MTPHereToHelp. We request that if the address you provided is not sufficient, send us the full address," the police wrote.

In response, Ola Support reached out to Khule, expressing concern about the incident. "We find this matter deeply concerning, Rohan. Kindly share the CRN of this ride via DM for us to investigate and assist you at the earliest," they said.

The video has highlighted the growing problem of distracted driving and has sparked calls for stronger action to ensure safer road conditions for everyone.
