Mumbai Viral Video: Dangerous Shortcut Taken By Passengers On Local Train To Avoid Platform Crowd | Watch
A video, dated undetermined, has recently emerged online, showing a shocking and risky way passengers are leaving the Mumbai Local train. The footage, filmed from the second-class coach, captures the moment a group of men decided to exit the train in a dangerous manner. Instead of stepping onto the platform, they risked their safety by hopping off the footboard and holding onto the fence at the station.
The scene unfolds at what seems to be Dadar station, where a restricted area, enclosed by railings, had been put in place to prevent passengers from taking a shortcut. However, in a bid to avoid a longer walk on the platform, several passengers opted to squeeze through the narrow gap between the railings, choosing this risky route over simply stepping onto the platform as the train came to a halt.

In those brief seconds of the train's stop, nearly half a dozen men managed to wriggle their way through the railings. They quickly moved towards the stairs that likely led to the foot-over-bridge (FOB) or the station's exit.
The video, now going viral on social media, was shared by an Instagram page known for posting content related to the Borivali-Churchgate train route. The page condemned the unsafe action, urging viewers to reconsider such behaviour. "Don't play with your life," the caption read, warning that while some risks may be worth taking, this one certainly wasn't.
