Mumbai University UG 2025 Admission Deadline Extended — Check Revised Dates

The University of Mumbai has extended the deadline for registering for undergraduate (UG) admissions for the academic year 2025. Initially set to conclude on May 23, the registration window will now remain open until May 26, 1 PM. Interested candidates must complete the online pre-registration process at mu.ac.in/admission. However, applicants also need to separately apply to and register with the individual colleges offering their desired programmes.

The extension applies to admissions for all undergraduate degree programmes in the university's affiliated and autonomous colleges, which together offer over three lakh seats. These include three-year UG programmes, four-year honours/honours with research programmes, and five-year integrated UG-PG courses.

  • Availability of Admission Forms (Online/Offline): May 8 to May 26 (up to 1 PM)
  • Pre-Admission Online Enrolment: May 8 to May 26 (up to 1 PM)
  • Submission of Admission Forms with Pre-Enrolment Forms (Mandatory): May 8 to May 26 (up to 1 PM)
  • First Merit List Release: May 27 (5 PM)
  • Document Verification & Online Fee Payment (1st List): May 28 to May 30 (up to 3 PM)
  • Second Merit List Release: May 31 (7 PM)
  • Document Verification & Fee Payment (2nd List): June 2 to June 4 (up to 3 PM)
  • Third Merit List Release: June 5 (7 PM)
  • Document Verification & Fee Payment (3rd List): June 6 to June 10
  • Commencement of Classes/Orientation: June 13

In announcing the revised dates, the University clarified that all first-year admissions and related academic processes will adhere to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines as laid out by the University of Mumbai, the Government of Maharashtra, and the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The university also mentioned that the admission schedule for the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) programme, which falls under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), will be declared following the release of the entrance exam results by the CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra.
