Mumbai University Registration 2024: Key Dates For Admissions, Process And Documents

The process for postgraduate admissions at Mumbai University for the 2024-2025 academic year is now underway. Starting today, May 22, prospective students can apply for various PG courses offered in arts, sciences, commerce, or management. The deadline for submitting the Mumbai University PG admission form is June 15. Details and the form are available on their official site at muadmission.samarth.edu.in.
The first merit list for PG admissions will be announced on June 26. Following this, successful applicants will have from June 27 to July 1 until 5 pm to complete their online payments. The second merit list is scheduled for release on July 2 by 6 pm, with payment due between July 3 and 5, also ending at 5 pm. Classes for the new session are set to commence on July 1.
Mumbai University has confirmed that all updates related to PG admissions, including registration, merit lists, and payment links, will be posted on the MU admission webpage. While the exact time for the application form's live link activation remains unannounced, the university has made its plans clear through a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
MU PG Admission 2024: Admission Process
As part of the application process, candidates must complete both the pre-allotment and admission forms available on the website. Registration involves providing basic personal details such as name, date of birth, gender, and mobile number. Following registration, applicants are required to fill in the admission form with their personal details and qualifying exam scores.
Mumbai PG Admission 2024: Required Documents
For enrollment, students need to prepare several documents:
- A printed copy of the completed online pre-enrollment form from the university website.
- The admissions form and any required information form(s).
- Three certified photocopies of the original HSC mark sheet.
- One certified copy of the passing certificate and SSC mark sheet.
- The Provisional Eligibility Form, filled out correctly (for students from divisional boards outside of Mumbai or other states).
- A migration certificate (for students from divisional boards outside of Mumbai or other states).
- Two recent colour passport-size photos.
NRI candidates will need additional documents, including a copy of their passport and visa, a letter from the embassy, and a letter from the ICCR.
Mumbai University has made it clear that admissions are open to students from all non-autonomous, autonomous, associated colleges, university departments, autonomous departments, and graduate programs. The announcement was also shared with the directors of recognized institutions, the professor-directors centre for online and remote learning, and the directors and coordinators of the University Ratnagiri, Thane, and Kalyan sub-centres.
