The individual, identified as Farhat Azam Sheikh, revealed in the video that the stunt, which was filmed in March, gained viral attention on X in July. Azam Sheikh was seen grabbing onto a moving suburban train but not boarding it fully. His legs remain on the platform, dragging as the train accelerates. He only manages to pull himself inside the compartment at the end of the platform. Following the incident, Sheikh suffered severe injuries, losing both an arm and a leg.

Subsequently, the release of the video on July 14, Central Railway issued a firm warning against engaging in dangerous stunts. Subsequently, a case was registered by the Wadala unit of the RPF, which managed to trace Sheikh to his residence in Antop Hill, central Mumbai, a few days later, as reported by PTI.

Central Railway highlighted the severe consequences of such reckless acts, noting that Sheikh now struggles with daily activities due to his injuries. He has urged the public to avoid such illegal and perilous behaviours. The authorities continue to advocate for safety and encourage passengers to report any dangerous stunts to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
