Mumbai Traffic Police Advisory: Congestion Expected Near Mahalaxmi For Lollapalooza

Mumbai is set for an exciting weekend as the much-awaited Lollapalooza India 2025 takes place on March 8 and 9 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. With thousands of music fans expected to attend, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an important advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the city, according to a Times Now report.

Several roads near the venue, including Sant Ghadge Maharaj Road, Senapati Bapat Road, and Arthur Road, are undergoing construction. As a result, heavy traffic congestion is likely in these areas. In a social media update, the Mumbai Traffic Police urged commuters to opt for public transport, including trains and the monorail, to avoid delays.

A statement from the authorities read: "Due to large-scale events at Mahalaxmi Racecourse and NSCI, Worli, and ongoing roadwork on key routes, we advise citizens to use public transport for hassle-free travel." The advisory also mentioned that slow traffic movement is expected around the venue throughout the weekend.

In addition to the Lollapalooza traffic advisory, the Mumbai Traffic Police has also announced restrictions for the Maharashtra Budget Session from March 3 to 10. Motorists have been asked to stay alert and plan their routes accordingly to prevent inconvenience.

Star-Studded Lollapalooza Lineup

Meanwhile, international singer Shawn Mendes was spotted exploring Mumbai ahead of his performance on March 8. The Señorita singer was seen at Colaba Causeway on Thursday, accompanied by his team.

The Lollapalooza India 2025 lineup features a mix of global and Indian artists, including Green Day, Raftaar, Hanumankind, Louis Tomlinson, Zedd, John Summit, Cory Wong, Glass Animals, Nothing But Thieves, Aurora, Lisa Mishra, and Niladri Kumar.

With music fans eagerly waiting for the grand event, authorities have urged attendees to plan their travel wisely to avoid delays.
