Mumbai rains: Local train services hit, train movement between Badlapur and Kalyan resumes

Mumbai, july 7: The local train services in Mumbai, which is witnessing heavy downpur for the last 2-3 days, were hit on Saturday due to waterlogging and the movement trains, which had stopped between Badlapur and Kalyan stations, have now resumed, said reports.

As per reports, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places in Greater Mumbai and suburban areas including Thane and Palghar today and tomorrow.

Mumbai and suburban areas continued to be lashed with intermittent rains since Wednesday midnight. Even on Thursday morning, Central line local's were running 20-25 minutes late.

On Tuesday, an overbridge collapsed at a railway station in Mumbai's suburban Andheri area, halting local train services and throwing normal life out of gear.

Earlier this week, some flights were also delayed due to incessant rains.

On June 25,several local trains were held up or running late and bumper-to-bumper traffic was reported in many places across Mumbai due to rain.
