Mumbai Rains 2024: Mumbai Records Highest Rainfall In Mulund In July
Mumbai experienced significant rainfall over the last 24 hours, with the highest amounts recorded in the Mulund area, as per the Automated Weather Stations (AWS) data.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that moderate to intense rain with gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph is expected in isolated areas of Mumbai over the next 3-4 hours on Thursday.

From 8 am on July 24 to 8 am on July 25, 2024, the recorded rainfall is as follows:
- Veena Nagar Municipal School, Mulund: 224.2 mm
- Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg Municipal School, Mulund: 207.4 mm
- Mithagar Municipal School, Mulund: 188.2 mm
- Dindoshi Colony Municipal School: 184.2 mm
- Dindoshi Fire Station: 158 mm
- Versova Waste Water Treatment Facility & Lagoons: 148 mm
- Colaba Pumping Station: 76.73 mm
- B Ward Office: 71.8 mm
- Britania Storm Water Pumping: 65.52 mm
- BMC Head Office: 61.8 mm
The heaviest downpour was recorded at Veena Nagar Municipal School in Mulund, with a remarkable 224.2 mm of rain. The area has been experiencing substantial rainfall, leading to potential concerns over flooding and waterlogging.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, especially in the regions receiving the most rain. Citizens are advised to remain cautious and stay updated with local weather forecasts and advisories.
