The expressway will improve connectivity between Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru, which are key economic hubs in the region. This major infrastructure project will play a vital role in easing the flow of traffic and reducing travel times for commuters.

In addition to the expressway, Gadkari highlighted several other road projects in Pune. He shared that elevated stretches and flyovers worth Rs 80,000 crore had been approved. One of the key projects is a major route from Nashik Phata to Khed, which will cost Rs 8,000 crore. Another significant development includes plans to upgrade the Solapur-Yavat and Narhe-Ravet roads in Pune city. An elevated road will also be constructed on the Talegaon-Chakan route at a cost of Rs 7,000 crore.

Gadkari emphasised his commitment to completing these large-scale projects. He assured the public that he not only announces such initiatives but also works to ensure their timely execution. The minister's focus on infrastructure development aims to improve road safety, reduce traffic jams, and foster economic growth in the region.
