Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has given his statement to the Mumbai Police regarding the knife attack at his home on January 16. The Bandra Police recorded his account on January 23. The incident occurred when an intruder entered Khan's residence, resulting in stab injuries to the actor.

Khan recounted that he and his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, were in their bedroom on the 11th floor of Satguru Sharan building when they heard their younger son Jehangir's nanny scream. They rushed to Jeh's room, where they encountered the alleged attacker. The nanny was terrified and screaming, while Jeh was crying.

Security Measures for Saif Ali Khan

Following the attack, Mumbai Police increased security at Saif Ali Khan's Bandra residence. Two constables are stationed outside in shifts. The accused, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, a Bangladeshi national staying illegally in India, allegedly stabbed Khan multiple times.

The police official stated, "We have provided temporary police protection outside Saif Ali Khan's Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West. Two constables from Bandra police station will be posted there in two shifts. CCTV cameras and widow grills have also been installed as part of security."

Khan explained that he nearly stopped the intruder but was attacked with a knife. He managed to regain control and pushed the attacker into a room. Other household staff took Jeh out of harm's way and locked the door. The attacker had also assaulted the nanny, demanding Rs 1 crore.

Legal Proceedings Against the Attacker

The accused is set to appear in court today for an extension of his police remand. He was initially placed in five-day custody on Sunday. This legal step follows the shocking breach of security at Khan's home.

After returning from Lilavati Hospital, where he received treatment for his injuries, Saif learned from nurse Eliyama Philip about the attacker's demands. The incident has raised concerns about safety measures in place at celebrity residences.
