Mumbai: Nawab Malik's Son-In-Law Sameer Khan Dies

Nawab Malik, a senior figure in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and former Maharashtra minister, is mourning the loss of his son-in-law, Sameer Khan, who passed away after battling injuries from a tragic accident.

On September 18, Khan experienced a severe incident when the SUV he was in collided with a wall in Kurla, Central Mumbai, as per police reports. This unfortunate event took place outside a hospital in Kurla West, where Khan and his wife, Nilopher, had arrived for a routine medical appointment. The sudden loss of control by the vehicle's driver led to this grave accident, causing Khan to suffer critical head injuries.

Following the accident, locals swiftly acted to assist Khan, ensuring he was transported to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Despite the efforts to save him, Khan succumbed to his injuries, his death leaving a void within the Malik family. In light of this personal tragedy, Nawab Malik took to social media platform X to announce the sad news, stating, "As we mourn this loss, all my schedule for the next two days are postponed. Thank you for your understanding. Pl keep him in your prayers." This message not only communicated the grave news but also highlighted Malik's request for privacy and prayers during this difficult time.

It is worth noting that Nawab Malik was actively involved in politics, representing the Mankhurd-Shivajinagar seat in Mumbai in the upcoming November 20 assembly polls. However, the sudden demise of his son-in-law has led him to momentarily step back from his political commitments, underscoring the impact of this personal loss on his professional life. This incident has not only caused grief to the Malik family but also to the NCP community and supporters who stand in solidarity during this sorrowful period. Malik's decision to postpone his scheduled engagements reflects the depth of his loss and his need to grieve alongside his family.
