Mumbai: MNS chief Raj Thackeray jokes about Narendra Modi
Thackeray was addressing his supporters when he referred to a joke and said: "I will bring you sari, will bu you jewellery , not only this I will even take you on world tour, to which the wife said don't make tall promises like Modi."
The joke was soon circulated on social media and took it by storm. Thackeray even cautioned his partymen not to get carried away and said that they must not use excessive of social media. "Politics has been into existence long before social media was born," he said.
This was also an indirect jibe as Modi is known for his online presence specially on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
Maharashtra is likely to go to polls in October.
