Mumbai Metro Line 3 To Offer 25% Fare Concession For Differently-Abled From Nov 23

Differently-abled passengers travelling on Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) will receive a 25% fare concession starting November 23, officials confirmed. The discount, which is currently undergoing final testing, is part of Mumbai Metro's push to make the new underground corridor more inclusive and affordable.

An official said the 25% concession announced earlier for passengers with disabilities is in the final testing phase, with technical integration progressing as scheduled. "Once the testing is complete, the concession will be activated on Sunday, 23 November, across the system. This move aims to provide a more inclusive transit experience for all passengers, including those with disabilities," the official added.

Mumbai Metro Line 3 - the city's first fully underground metro line - runs from Aarey to Cuffe Parade and has been designed with accessibility as a core feature. The Aqua Line includes air-conditioned stations and is equipped with driverless-train-ready technology, making it one of the most advanced urban transport systems in India.

The 25% fare concession is part of a broader initiative to promote inclusive mobility and ensure affordable travel options for differently-abled commuters across Mumbai's expanding metro network.
