Mumbai Metro Line 2B Trials Begin: Full Stations List And Key Interchange Points Inside
In good news for Mumbai residents, the long-awaited Metro Line 2B, also known as Yellow Line is getting closer to opening. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is now ready to begin train trials on Phase I of the corridor, which runs from D N Nagar to Mandale, as reported by Times Now. These trials are the final step before the metro can start carrying passengers.
Better Connections Across the City

Metro Line 2B is a 23.643 kilometre fully elevated corridor. It is expected to improve transport links across Mumbai by connecting key routes such as the Western Express Highway, Eastern Express Highway, Western and Central Railways, Mono Rail, and many metro lines - including Metro Line 1, 2A, 3, and 4.
This new line will join the eastern and western suburbs, making travel faster and more convenient to business districts, government offices, and important city locations.
Faster Travel Times
Once it opens, Metro Line 2B is likely to reduce travel time by 50 to 75 per cent. This will be especially helpful during rush hours when road traffic is usually heavy.
