Mumbai Local Train Update: Western Railway Night Jumbo Block Between Santacruz And Mahim On August 9–10

Western Railway has announced that a night Jumbo Block will be carried out between Santacruz and Mahim stations to facilitate essential maintenance work. The block is scheduled for the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, August 9-10, 2025, and will focus on the upkeep of tracks, signaling systems, and overhead equipment.

As per the official statement:

• UP fast line: Closed from 12:00 am to 4:00 am
• Down fast line: Closed from 12:30 am to 4:30 am
• Affected section: Between Santacruz and Mahim

Alternate route: All fast trains will run on slow lines between Andheri and Churchgate

These maintenance blocks are critical for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of train services, allowing railway teams to conduct repair, inspection, and replacement works without disrupting daytime commuter traffic.

During the block period, all fast line trains will be diverted to operate on slow lines between Andheri and Churchgate.
