Mumbai Local Train Services Mega Block: Updates On Train Diverts And Cancellations Tomorrow

Central Railway has announced a mega block on Sunday, January 12, to facilitate various engineering and maintenance works on its suburban sections. The block will affect several local and long-distance trains, with changes in their schedules and routes.

Main Line Block Section

There will be a block between Vidyavihar and Thane stations on the 5th and 6th lines from 08.00 am to 12.30 pm. During this period, the following changes will occur:

Diversion of UP Mail/Express Trains:

Train No. 13201 Patna-LTT Express
Train No. 17221 Kakinada-LTT Express

These trains will be diverted to the UP Fast line at Thane, then re-diverted to the 6th line at Vidyavihar, arriving 10 to 15 minutes later than scheduled.

Diversion of DOWN Mail/Express Trains:

Train No. 11055 LTT-Gorakhpur Express
Train No. 11061 LTT-Jaynagar Pawan Express
Train No. 16345 LTT-Tiruvanathapuram Netravati Express

These trains will be diverted to the DOWN Fast line at Vidyavihar, then re-diverted to the 5th line at Thane, also running 10 to 15 minutes late.

Trans-Harbour Line Services

There will also be a block on the UP and DOWN Trans-Harbour lines between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. The following services will be affected:

UP Trans-Harbour Line: Services towards Thane departing Vashi at 10.25 am and Nerul at 04.09 pm will be suspended.
DOWN Trans-Harbour Line: Services towards Vashi/Nerul/Panvel departing Thane from 10.35 am to 4.07 pm will be suspended.

Six-Hour Night Block Between Diva And Vasai

To carry out bridge work, Central Railway will introduce a special six-hour night block between Diva and Vasai stations. The block will occur on the nights of January 12/13, 19/20, 24/25, and February 2/3, from 11.15 pm to 5.15 am. During these blocks, the following trains will be cancelled:

Train No. 61004 Diva - Vasai Road
Train No. 61005 Vasai Road - Diva
Train No. 61006 Diva - Vasai Road
Train No. 61007 Vasai Road - Diva

These measures are aimed at reducing passenger inconvenience by scheduling the blocks at night. Central Railway advises passengers to plan accordingly and check for updates on affected services.
