Mumbai Local Train Services Mega Block: Cancellations And Diversions Across Harbour, Western & Central Lines
Local train passengers in Mumbai are advised to plan their journeys carefully today, as mega blocks will be in place for essential engineering and maintenance works on the Harbour, Western and Central lines, according to a Lokmat report.
I. Harbour Line - Trans-Harbour Services Affected
A mega block will be carried out on the Up and Down Trans-Harbour route between Thane and Vashi/Nerul stations from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
During this period:
a. All services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul/Panvel will remain cancelled.
b. Passengers travelling on this route may face delays and inconvenience and are advised to make alternative arrangements.
II. Western Line - Night Block Between Borivali and Ram Mandir
Western Railway will implement a night block on the Up Slow and Down Fast lines between Borivali and Ram Mandir stations.
a. The block will begin at 12:15 am on Sunday (midnight of Saturday) and continue till 4:15 am.
b. During this time, Up Slow Line trains will run on the Up Fast Line between Borivali and Andheri.
c. There will be no train halts at Ram Mandir station, as the platform will not be available.
d. Several Up and Down services will be cancelled.
III. Central Line - Matunga to Mulund Block
Central Railway will conduct a mega block between Matunga and Mulund on the Up and Down slow lines from 11:00 am to 3:55 pm.
a. During the block, slow trains will be diverted to the fast line.
b. These diverted trains will halt at Shiv, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations.
c. However, no services will be available at Vidyavihar, Kanjur Marg and Nahur stations during the block hours.
Passengers are urged to check the latest updates before heading to stations and allow extra travel time.
