Mumbai Local Train Services Alert: Night-Time Mega Block On September 7 & 8– Here’s What You Need to Know
The Central Railway (CR) has scheduled a night-time mega block on its suburban sections in Mumbai. This maintenance work will affect train operations between the night of Saturday, September 7, and Sunday, September 8.
The affected lines include the Harbour Line, which runs between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai and Panvel, and the Trans-Harbour Line, which connects Thane and Panvel.

No Daytime Mega Block
There will be no daytime mega block on either the Harbour Line or the Trans-Harbour Line. The maintenance activities will be carried out exclusively during the night, focusing on the engineering and upkeep of the Slow Lines.
UP and DOWN Slow Lines: Between Masjid and Kurla from 12:30 AM to 4:30 AM
During the block, there will be significant changes to train services on the Slow Lines.
Changes To Services During The Block
1. DOWN Slow Line: Trains departing from CSMT Mumbai between 12:14 AM and 12:24 AM will be diverted to the DOWN Fast Line between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar. These trains will stop at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before returning to the DOWN Slow Line at Vidyavihar station.
2. UP Slow Line: Trains leaving Ghatkopar between 12:10 AM and 4:24 AM will be redirected to the UP Fast Line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai. These trains will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla.
Last And First Local Trains Before And After the Block
1. DOWN Slow Line
Last local before the block: Thane Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 11:55 PM.
First local after the block: Karjat Local departing CSMT Mumbai at 4:47 AM.
2. UP Slow Line
Last local before the block: Karjat Local departing Kurla at 11:35 PM.
First local after the block: Thane Local departing Thane at 4:42 AM.
