Mumbai: Capt James performs his son Vivaan's last rites
James's son had died of septicemia on December 2 in a hospital and his body has been kept in a morgue ever since.
James's family had kept the body in a morgue and had told the Indian government that until James wouldn't be released from Togo, the family would not perform the last rites of the baby.
James arrived in Mumbai on Friday after the Togo President and Indian authorities pressed the Togo government for his release.
The Togo government released him on compassionate grounds so that he could perform the last rites. Upon his arrival, James said that what had happened was past and that he was looking forward at his future.
