Mumbai: 40-year-old man dies after falling into pothole
Mumbai, July 12: Barely 24 hours after a pothole-related death in Bhiwandi, another pothole-related death came to light in Kalyan. A pedestrian was crushed under a truck after he slipped due to a pothole. The incident happened around 10:30 am when the deceased, identified as Anna, went to the market to buy something.

This is the 4th pothole-related death in Kalyan in 45 days.
The victim has been identified as Anna, who worked in a stable in Dwarli village.
Torrential monsoon rains lashed the megapolis and its neighbouring areas, flooding streets, rail tracks and crippling life in the city.
Vehicles on many roads were seen crawling because of the rain and low visibility, while potholes compounded the problem. Several schools declared a holiday and many office-goers decided to stay at home.
