Mumbai: 12 Hospitalised After Eating Chicken Shawarma In Goregaon
In a shocking incident on Sunday, more than 12 people were hospitalized after they consumed chicken shawarma in Mumbai's Goregaon area. According to the reports, the people who fell ill are being treated for food poisoning. However, 9 out of 12 people have been discharged from the hospital, while rest 3 are still under doctors' observation.
The reports said the quality of streetside food, chicken shawarma, was not up to the mark that led to the saddening incident.

Shedding light on the incident, a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said "Twelve people complained of food poisoning on Friday and Saturday. They were admitted to a hospital. While nine people were discharged, three others are undergoing treatment."
On the complaint from the victims, a case has been lodged against the eatery and a probe has been ordered.
Earlier, more than 200 students reported symptoms of food poisoning after consuming dinner at a hostel in Greater Noida on the occasion of Mahashivratri. At that time, students reported symptoms like uneasiness, dizziness, and vomiting after eating the food from the hostel's mess.
Talking to the media, a student had said, that he felt dizzy and feverish after consuming dinner, while another student named Kushal reported symptoms of vomiting and trembling. Later, the authorities transported all students to the hospital, and a case was lodged leading to an investigation into the matter.
