Model Archana Pande's boyfriend arrested in suicide abetment case

Archana Pande's boyfriend, who was blamed for her suicide in the note she left behind, has been arrested by the Versova

three days after the suicide at her residence in Mumbai.

According to police reports, Archana committed suicide couple of days ago but no one knew about it. On Monday morning, A foul smell coming from her residence made the neighbours suspicious and they called the police. [Read: Former model commits suicide, boyfriend in trouble!]

A suicide note was recovered upon searching her house, where she blamed her boyfriend Omar Pathan for her suicide. Versova police have registered a case of abetment of suicide against Pathan and investigation is on.

"In the note, she stated that Pathan used to harass her and he was ill-treating her. This prompted her to commit suicide" said a senior officer.

Archana lived alone in 12th floor flat of Shubham Karoti building at New Mahada colony in Versova. She hanged herself to death. Her decomposed body was sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

Arhcana's boyfriend, 26-yearold Omar Asif Pathan, is a businessman by profession.
