Man beaten up by waiters for demanding onions in eatery

after he demanded a plate of

with the food. The incident happened at an eatery in Pydhonie early on Saturday.

The victim, Mayur Peerti Jadhav asked for the onions after the food was served but the waiters denied to give them. This led to an argument between the customer and the two waiters and the latter hit Jadhav on his head, nose and forehead.

Jadhav approached the local police soon after and the two waiters, Mohammad Rizwan Ziauddin Ahmed and Brijbhan Asaram Singh, were arrested. Both were produced in the court and were remanded in police custody till Tuesday, the police said.

The waiters were booked under sections 326, 323, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
